Jeremy Butler is the protagonist of the Psycho Suspense manga Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai Suru (After us the Savage God, A Cruel God Reigns in Heaven*) by the know author and artist Moto Hagio. Jeremy is a 15 year old boy from Boston, United States who lives alone with his mother Sandra after his father's passing when he was 8 years old. Sandra meets and falls in love with a man named Greg Roland who almost instantly begins to sexually abuse Jeremy. Now, having to move to England with his new family, Jeremy does not only has to withstand the abuse but begins to unfold the secrets behind his whole new and old life. He becomes a troubled child, constanly experiencing hallucinations and reactive to any situation along his homicidal impulses against Greg, while at the same type having to keep up with the lies about the state of his mind. Besides this, he is caring about the people he loves, mainly Sandra for who he thinks is doing all of this for.
